Dusty R. is the founder of KCL Pet Care, a business dedicated to providing personalized, compassionate, and expert-level support for pets and their owners. Her journey into animal care began in her youth when she would hound her neighbors into letting her play or walk with their dog for ice cream money. It was during her time in North Dakota, where she aquired her two beloved black labs that she developed a deep passion for training and behavior.

After returning to the Bay Area, Dusty studied through the Karen Pryor Academy, refining her skills in positive reinforcement training. She gained hands-on experience working at a dog daycare and volunteering with the Peninsula Humane Society, further strengthening her expertise in pet behavior, training, and individualized care.

Through KCL Pet Care, Dusty specializes in working with pets that require extra attention—whether due to behavioral challenges, specialized care needs, or simply the desire for a more personal approach. Her philosophy is rooted in building strong, trusting relationships between pets and their people. She offers training, grooming, and customized pet care services, tailoring her approach to each pet’s unique needs.
